What was it that got you into designing?

Passion for handwrite lettering and pencil drawings.

What is the concept of your designs?

Monochromatic artworks featuring draft elements.

When you just started designing, by which artists were you influenced?

Leonardo Da Vinci.

How did you get started on working with the club scene?

I know very well Luca Trevisi (http://www.hotgroovyrecords.it) He's a dope DJ and a serious rare-grooves dealer. Back in the 1995, He was djing at a good club not far from Bologna called Cap Creus. I used to hang over there with friends and I had the privilege to see few wikked live showcases such as: Roy Ayers, Airto and Flora Purim, etc.. and some quality Dj- set by: Patrick Forge, Russ Dewbury, etc.. after few years I had the chance to start doin' flyers for the Cap Creus' weekly Friday venue feat. DJ Simone aka Big Bang (http://www.arision.net).

Can you tell me little bit about concept of your recent work(project) "Pround 2bea sticker"?

"Proud2be" is the title of a series of books (http://www.proud2be.net). The concept of each book released by "proud2be" is to collect objects which many people usually ignore or just consider ordinary ( flyers, stickers, etc.). The aim of each book released under the "Proud2be" series is to give to ordinary items the respect and the spotlight they deserve.

What is the most important thing that you would like to communicate to the readers through Proud 2bea Sticker?

Actually, there is no second meaning, I just hope people dig the book!!

What does "creativity" mean to you?

I think creativity is an answer to a certain need_When you miss something and you want to have it, you betta find out how to reach it.Creativity can be shown in many ways and in different fields: If you see someone you fancy and you want to approach her/him, you need to force your creativity to find out the expression for breaking the ice.

The third chapter of the "Proud2be" saga is on the pipeline!!

You work closely with the club scenes, but what type of music do you listen to on your free time?

I'm a records collector. In my library you can find lots of rare Jazz, Soul, Funk and Brasilian pieces, a good section of early and contemporary hip hop, a shelf of broken (thanks to Mike at Goya) and a growing box of good House music.

What do you think is the most interesting thing about designing? What do you think is the hardest part about designing?

• best: create from nothing.
• worst: convince people you're able to create from nothing.

How is Italy as an evironment, working as a designer?

It's not too bad, there are few headz over here, who keep struggling to maintain Italy well represented on the scene.

Do you have any ambitions for designs or projects that you'd like to challenge yourself in the future?
